Purpose: The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C is seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Scaffold Design Engineer on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the scaffold design engineer for the MEHA scope of works at Hinkley Point C nuclear new build power station.
* Ensure all designs are developed and adhered to during the erection of temporary works.
* Produce drawings using AutoCAD and other Autodesk software.
* Create detailed engineering calculations according to British and European standards using structural analysis software where required.
* Produce documentation in accordance with company and MEHJV procedures along with CDM regulations.
* Liaise with partner design management, MEHJV partners, operational supervisors, and client representatives to ensure optimal solutions.
* Provide guidance, advice, and technical support as applicable.
* Check designs in accordance with BS standards.
* Uphold HPC site practices and standards at all times.
Key Requirements:
* HNC, HND, or Degree in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in the design of scaffolding structures.
* Problem solver, organized, able to prioritize and deliver in a high-paced environment.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of structural analysis software is a plus.
* Driven, committed, and able to work independently.
