Job Summary Reporting to the UK & Europe Head of Sales, the Business Development Manager (On-Trade) will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our presence in London’s premium hospitality sector. You will be responsible for securing new business within the on-trade channel, focusing on luxury hotels, restaurants, and groups, while maintaining and deepening relationships with our existing prestige accounts. We’re looking for a self-starter with proven sales experience in the premium drinks sector, an established network in London’s on-trade industry, and a flair for engaging with sommeliers and F&B teams. A background in hospitality or a WSET qualification is highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities Drive growth by securing new listings and increasing distribution points within key on-trade accounts. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a robust pipeline of prospects. Achieve sales targets and KPIs within the assigned territory. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers. Conduct sales calls, presentations, and tastings with sommeliers and F&B teams. Deliver outstanding customer service and post-sales support. Gather and report customer feedback and market insights to the Head of Sales. Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity. Represent Saicho at trade shows, events, and exhibitions to promote our brand and products. Collaborate with the wider Saicho team to execute business plans effectively. Maintain an up-to-date CRM system and ensure meticulous record-keeping. About You Minimum 2 years proven sales experience in the premium on-trade drinks sector is essential. Familiarity with premium wines, spirits, or non-alcoholic beverages is highly desirable. A strong professional network of relevant industry contacts. Strong understanding of luxury hospitality venues and their operations. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and generate new business. Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment. London-based, with flexibility to travel within the territory as needed.
