Owen Daniels are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing business in seeking a motivated Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team based in Tamworth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a long-term career within a highly regulated, precision-driven aerospace environment.
Working closely with Production, Quality, and Design teams, you will support the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to exacting aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing processes
* Assist with introduction of new products from design into production (NPI)
* Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and routings
* Drive continuous improvement activities (Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis)
* Support quality investigations and corrective actions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, yield, and cost
* Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and internal procedures
Requirements
* Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
* Strong interest in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
* Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, composites, etc.)
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Placement year or internship within aerospace or manufacturing
* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement tools
* CAD experience (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks, NX)
