Hours: 37 Hours Per Week - Term Time Only
Salary: Grade 7, £31,022 x 89.75%
Start Date: 1st September 2026
The Governing Body wish to appoint an efficient, highly effective and skilled School Clerk to work at Aberdare Town Church in Wales Primary School to complement our existing team. The role requires excellent communication skills, good time management, the ability to work under pressure and be able to relate well to all stakeholders.
The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of administrative and clerical duties, including managing enquiries, maintaining pupil records, supporting attendance processes, handling correspondence, operating the telephones and reprographic systems, processing orders and invoices and maintaining accurate financial and administrative records. They will also support with admissions, pupil transfers, medical records, school trips and returns to the Local Authority and Welsh Government.
The successful candidate will:
1. Support the school’s Christian ethos
2. Be able to have a sound knowledge of how to safeguard children
3. Be individual with strong interpersonal skills who is highly organised.
4. Be welcoming to visitors and our school community
5. Be able to work as part of a dedicated team
6. Be able to demonstrate excellent ICT, literacy and numeracy skills
7. Be able to use Word and Excel
8. Be knowledgeable of school system process, including Bromcom and ITrent
9. Be trustworthy and highly professional
10. Be responsible for budget management, financial controls, HR processes, pupil administration, and other general office processes.
