We are looking for exceptional candidates to fill a number of roles within the new Private Lettings Service.
The PRS Accommodation Officer will support the PRS Service through development and maintaining of systems and procedures, helping to triage and progress caseloads, and in helping manage financial and regulatory processes.
The role is fixed term until December

We are recruiting a PRS Accommodation Officer to support the new in-house Private Rented Sector Lettings Service to attract and work with landlords in providing accommodation for clients. The aim is to work with clients to ensure they can created and sustain tenancies and reduce homelessness. The job holder will assist with triaging inquiries and assist with sourcing affordable properties.
Using a variety of sources, identify available properties and liaise with landlords and letting agents to promote the PRS service. You will assist with maintaining office systems, invoices, quotes, payments and referrals. They will keeping accurate records and assist with matching clients with suitable properties.
Cheshire West and Chester Council’s new Private Lettings Service is being established to deliver high quality services for landlords and tenants in the Borough. The service aims to increase the supply of affordable private rental accommodation and work with landlords to help prevent homelessness and ensure the right support is offered at the right time. The pilot service has initial funding until December .
We are recruiting for a number of staff to work in the newly created team to be based in The Portal, Ellesmere Port. Work location will be flexible involving office-based, working from home, working at other council offices, and visiting landlords and tenants across the district.
There is a team of posts which form the pilot service: Team leader, Lettings officers (x), Support officer and Accommodation officer.
