Connex Education is proud to be supporting a wonderful Primary school in Warrington as they seek a dedicated 1:1 SEN‑focused Teaching Assistant to join their team from January; this role is to support a child in a Y2 class and, subject to relationship, could lead to permanent employment.
This is a part‑time role, Monday to Friday, consisting of 4 mornings and one full day, working closely with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs. You will provide 1:1 support to help the child settle into a classroom routine and assist the child with establishing new relationships with pupils and staff.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child with a range of SEN needs
* Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils thrive
* Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and positive learning environment
* Assisting with routines, smooth transitions, and personalised support plans
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working with children with SEN (school‑based preferred)
* A patient, caring and proactive approach
* Strong communication skills
* A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
