Job summary
The Paediatric Bladderand Bowel Team are recruiting to a part time hours per week. The team area flexible team based at Sherwood Rise Health Centre and undertake clinics bothin the community and work remotely from home.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious nursewith an interest in paediatric continence to join the paediatric team withinthe Bladder and Bowel Service. We are a dynamic, developing service andenthusiastic team providing education, advice, support, and clinical care.
There areopportunities to develop in all areas of the service and you will be involvedwith, a clinical caseload, education, audit and development of practice andsupport and advice to other health care professionals.

3. Ability to work flexibly within the team isadvantageous.
The hours of work will be - excluding weekendsand bank holidays.
Please note a car driver with own vehicle is essential for the job role.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are as follows;
4. Oversee a clinicalcaseload of paediatric continence care patients, maintaining accurate clinicalrecords and data required by the service.
5. Assess andprovide a treatment plan for patients who you will see in a variety of settingsincluding different clinics across Nottingham City, including assessing theneed for the provision of products.
6. Give expertclinical advice to nurses and other members of the wider community team caringfor patients with continence problems.
7. Promote anddemonstrate best practice, providing patient centred, evidence-based care,using clinical reasoning and sound clinical judgements.

Job Purpose
To providespecialist paediatric continence advice to children and young people, theirfamilies and carers and those who work with children with continence problems,through clinical practice, teaching, research and development, as part of anintegrated team.
To be responsible for the delivery of apaediatric continence service to children and young people referred fromfamily/carers, GPs, health visitors, school nurses, other health professionals,social services and education.
Dimensions
To supervise continence link nurses, support staff andstudents working with the Post Holder. To supervise, educate and assess theperformance of students as required ensuring the standard of practice andteaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice

41. Tosupport the Head of Service in implementing targets and objectives to assist inthe ongoing development of the Primary Care Team. To participate in serviceevaluation and advise the Head of Service on the service needs of the clientpopulation.
42. To beresponsible for management duties when requested by senior clinical staff.
43. Toliaise effectively with other professionals and agencies to enhancerehabilitation within the boundaries of Nottingham City CCG.
44. To supportand manage the day-to-day delivery of the service within own service includingprioritisation of support staff duties.Also organising own diary and time management (arranging assessments andappointments for own caseload).
45. Toensure the Health & Safety of staff and clients at all times in accordancewith Health & Safety legislation and Trust policy and procedures. To adhereto all other Trust Policies and Procedures.
46. Toattend team meetings and meetings with other agencies as required.

48. To actas a Duty Clinician and Duty Officer for the Lone Worker Tracking procedure(checking all staff have safely returned from visits and if necessary reportingmissing clinicians to the Team Leader on call at the end of the working day).
