About the Role
Arrow PCN is seeking an experienced Paramedic to work collaboratively with other Primary Care healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach when assessing and managing patients' conditions and illnesses within General Practice.
Job Summary
PICS supports our team of Paramedics to develop their skills and knowledge in line with Health Education England's First Contact Practitioners & Advanced Practitioners in Primary Care (Paramedic): A Roadmap to Practice.
You will be part of a wider team of PICS Paramedics, supported by our Paramedic Clinical Lead who is on the PICS management team.
Main Duties of the Job
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and treating patients presenting with common illnesses
* Visiting elderly and frail patients in their homes and within care home settings if required
* Using advanced clinical skills to educate patients and/or their carers for informed decision-making
Key Requirements
* Registered Paramedic with active HCPC registration
* Extensive Paramedic experience
* First Contact Practitioner qualification or willingness to undertake it

Job Responsibilities
General
* Manage and treat common illnesses
* Triage and refer patients appropriately
* Ensure safe, effective practice within competence boundaries
* Work as an autonomous practitioner within HCPC standards
* Assess patients, initiate investigations, and prescribe medications if qualified
* Maintain accurate healthcare records
* Participate in audits, CPD, mentoring, and team activities
