We are looking for someone to cover cleaning and catering across the hospital to ensure a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for our patients, their families, and the wider team working on site. The housekeeping role is an essential part of the day-to-day running of the hospital and ensures our patients and their families experience a high-quality service.
We pride ourselves on providing a clean environment for our patients and colleagues. This role involves carrying out the daily cleaning schedule as well as additional cleaning duties as required. You will work alongside patients, colleagues, and other visitors to our site, being professional and working within the Trust Values.
This role also involves delivering patient meals and drinks on our inpatient wards. A full induction and training, as well as ongoing in-house supervision, will be provided.
We have a skilled and dedicated workforce of over 5000 colleagues working in a diverse range of services over 55 sites and within people’s homes. About
Annual staff surveys, regular Pulse surveys, and other engagement opportunities provide our people with lots of opportunities to share their experiences. In the latest staff survey, 61% of colleagues gave us their feedback. It was great to hear that:
* 72% of colleagues would recommend the Trust as a place to work, ranking us 1st for Provider Trusts in the South West region.
* 76% would recommend the standard of care provided in our services if a friend or relative needed treatment, also ranking us 1st in the South West region.
* 81% said that care of patients and service users is the Trust’s priority, compared with an average of 64% in comparable NHS Trusts in England.
This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organizations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also recognize there is room for improvement. We continue to prioritize and invest in our commitment to becoming a Great Place to Work with top-quartile performance in staff surveys.
