About the Role
The position is a fixed‑term 2.5‑year role within the Spatial Planning Team (Policy and Strategy Directorate) responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of the Spatial Development Strategy (SDS). The role will progress the Liverpool City Region SDS towards adoption, reporting progress to relevant groups and tracking delivery to budget and quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Project management of the SDS preparation and associated workstreams, including scheduling, milestone tracking and budget oversight.
* Coordination with internal and external stakeholders, such as local authorities, partners, and third‑sector organisations.
* Progress reporting to senior groups and ensuring timely, accurate delivery.
* Maintain effective relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
* Support the team in implementing core goals related to economic inclusion, social value, health inequalities, and climate change.
Qualifications & Skills
* Project and/or programme experience, preferably with relevant qualifications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work in a complex, ambiguous environment and influence at all levels.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
* Experience in spatial planning or a related policy field is desirable.
