We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our team at ALS Coventry. This is a key role within a busy central distribution centre that supports multiple ALS laboratory sites across the UK. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play an integral part in ensuring laboratories receive the supplies they need for their day-to-day operations, maintaining accurate stock levels, and handling incoming deliveries efficiently and safely. Hours Per Week: 37 Days Per Week: Monday to Thursday (8:30 - 16:30) and Friday (8.30 - 16.00) Contract: Full Time and Permanent Hiring Manager: J ose Garcia De Pereda Annual Salary: £ 23,564 per annum The Day to Day Accurately picking requested items and allocating them to the correct end user Receiving supplier deliveries, including unpacking, checking against delivery notes, labelling and placing stock in the correct locations on the day of receipt Recording goods received and filing or archiving delivery documentation appropriately Recording batch numbers where required and segregating stock for Quality Department use or specific projects Assisting with stock counts at intervals set by the Warehouse Manager Maintaining clean and tidy warehouse and loading bay areas at all times Complying with all health and safety requirements The Essentials Ability and motivation to work both independently and as part of a team Basic IT skills, including Excel and Word (experience with OrderWise ERP is desirable but not essential as training will be provided) Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative A hands-on approach to manual tasks Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to accurately follow written procedures and verbal instructions A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement Ambition to develop yourself and learn new skills Counterbalance forklift truck licence up to 1.4 tonnes (desirable) Our Benefits Include: Annual Leave commencing at 25 days (rising to 30) plus 8 public holidays (pro rata for part time) Ability to Buy annual leave.
