Overview
Exciting opportunity for a Static multi-skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join a national FM business in the East Midlands. As the suitable candidate you will provide high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair services across the site. While the primary focus is on HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, AHUs), you will be proficient in general mechanical and electrical (M and E) tasks to ensure 100% building uptime.
Role
Responsibilities
* Carry out all PPMs and reactive works on site
* Diagnose complex faults in heating and cooling plants and carry out repairs to minimize downtime
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices
* Ensure the responsible sites are fully compliant and follow industry best practices
* Daily monitoring and responsibility of all main plant and equipment within buildings
* Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all employees and clients
* Maintain the professional image always, and promote services
* Ensure all subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes
* Ensure you manage the site logbook system and all paperwork is kept up to date
* Oversee the management of the on-site CAFM and Concept systems and ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed within SLA
* Receive client issues and resolve these issues effectively without disruption to business or compromising client relationships
Requirements
* City and Guilds Charging and Recovery of Refrigerants
* City and Guilds 2078 Safe Handling/CITB
* City and Guilds F-Gas and ODS Regulations CAT 1 500/5730/3
* City and Guilds Mechanical Engineering Services: Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Level 2
* Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices
* Strong customer care focus
* Good communication skills
* Proactive approach
* Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults
* Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner
