Summary
We are seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the timely delivery of materials to various project sites. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
* To transport materials to and from sites.
* Ensure timely deliveries to various construction sites within the group and for external clients.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery records.
* Communicate effectively with site managers regarding delivery schedules.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
* Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
* Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
Qualifications
* Valid HGV license (Class 2/Cat C) with a clean driving record.
* Digital Tachograph Card and Drivers Qualification Card.
* Must be able to drive a manual lorry and be over the age of 25.
* Proven experience with 8-wheel tipper and flatbed lorries.
* Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
* Experience within the construction sector preferable.
* Excellent time management skills and reliability.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
* High level of geographical knowledge.
