Job Description:
Morson Technical Services is currently seeking a HSE and Quality Support Technician to join the team at RNAS Culdrose on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose
The Health, Safety, Environmental Training (HSE-T) and Quality Support Technician supports the HSET Manager in implementing and monitoring safety, health, environmental, training, and quality measures within IMOS. Ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and assisting with various HSET and quality activities.
Main Activities and Tasks
* Liaise with IMOS MRP 145 Safety Manager.
* Administer HSE-T and Authorization records, ensuring personnel data currency.
* Produce and publish safety documents (Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Meeting Minutes, etc.).
* Manage IMOS working instructions, ensuring document lifecycle management.
* Conduct ergonomic training (Manual Handling, DSE Ergonomics, annual video screenings).
* Provide advice and support to IMOS Material Services at Culdrose on Quality Control matters.
* Assist staff with Display Screen Equipment Assessments and ergonomic issues.
* Conduct HSE inductions for new employees and return-to-work briefs after long absences.
* Maintain Human Factors (HF) Facilitator role.
* Liaise with agencies such as the Client's HSE and training teams.
* Participate in Quality and Safety Audits.
* Prepare reports on HSE performance, monitor KPIs, and document incidents.
* Stay updated on relevant HSE legislation and client policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; training provided for specific applications.
* Health and Safety experience with NEBOSH National General Certificate.
* ISO 9001:2015 Auditor qualification.
* Manual Handling Trainer (training provided if needed).
* Human Factors Facilitator (training provided if needed).
* Understanding of engineering criteria related to airworthiness and safety.
* Effective communication skills at all levels.
* Ability to present information professionally; teaching experience is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
* Well-organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with problem-solving skills.
