Requirements:
* Strong academic background in a relevant discipline, with Chartered status or close to achieving it.
* Extensive experience working for a UK-based consultancy specializing in flood risk, hydrology, drainage, or civil engineering.
* Drive and determination to develop new business opportunities with clients across the North West.
* Experience in project management, promoting company services, and mentoring team members.
This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead a new team based in Leeds, managing projects, mentoring staff, and reviewing technical work related to flood risk, SuDS, drainage, natural flood management, climate change, flood alleviation, and wetland restoration across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing flood alleviation schemes.
* Wetland restoration and natural flood risk management.
* Addressing pollution incidents and nutrient neutrality.
* Developing drainage strategies and designs.
* Preparing bid proposals and driving business development.
