Job Overview: As a Transport and Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the transport and logistics team in coordinating and managing the movement of goods and materials. You will work closely with the team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in coordinating and scheduling transportation of goods and materials to their destination - Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods - Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in good condition - Prepare and maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts - Assist in managing inventory levels and ensuring stock availability for timely delivery - Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve any transportation issues or delays - Assist in negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions - Maintain and update transportation databases and systems - Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies - Provide administrative support to the transport and logistics team as needed Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred - Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry - Knowledge of transportation regulations and procedures - Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for logistics and transportation, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
