Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, inspiring excellence. * Deliver high-quality Quantity Surveying services across diverse projects. * Oversee costs and finances at every stage of construction projects. * Assist with procurement and subcontractor management. * Ensure contractual compliance and liaise closely with project teams. * Maximise financial success through cost management, procurement, risk management, and value engineering. * Complete reinstatement cost assessments, budget costings, and feasibility estimates. * Support colleagues within the wider practice, contributing to a collaborative culture Qualifications & Experience: Essential * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role. * Strong skills in cost control, bills of quantities, cost planning, and cost reporting. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. * Attention to detail with proven accuracy in reporting. * Strong communication, teamwork, and client management abilities. * Knowledge of building regulations, construction contracts, and contentious Quantity Surveying practices. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. * Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle (business insurance required). * Living within commuting distance of Hull, York, or Harrogate. Desirable * Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
