An exciting new job opportunity is now available for a committed Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in a brand‑new nursing home opened in the summer of 2024 in the Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers.
This flagship nursing home in the historic market town of Olney is the embodiment of elegance and luxury living, combining superb facilities that prioritize resident wellbeing with a convenient location on the edge of town.
To be considered for this role you must be qualified as an RGN or RMN Nurse with an active NMC Pin.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager and manage the day‑to‑day running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
* Alongside the Home Manager, assume responsibility for all aspects of the service in line with CQC requirements.
* Ensure service users receive the highest standards of professional support and experience life opportunities that promote growth and independence.
* Be flexible; may not always be in the office but is expected to cover the floor or work alongside the nurses.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
* Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care services.
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
* Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staffing teams.
* Good clinical skills.
* Promote ownership of care programmes by fully involving service users and families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programmes within the home.
