GSL Education are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in York that supports students with complex needs, including Autism, non-verbal communication, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) profiles.

This role is ideal for individuals who may not have worked in education before but have a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.

GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team and support a specialist school in York. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), non-verbal communication, behavioural needs, and SEMH profiles.

As a Primary School Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive learning environment. You will be working with pupils across different year groups, ensuring that their educational journey is both enjoyable and successful.

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Early Careers Teacher to join schools in Doncaster. This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support pupil progress, and develop professionally with mentoring and guidance from experienced staff.


Responsibilities

* Provide support to students with complex needs, including Autism and SEMH, in York.
* Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and classroom management; promote inclusive learning environments.
* Support pupils across year groups and adapt approaches to individual needs where appropriate.
* Maintain safeguarding and welfare of students in line with school policies.
* Collaborate with specialists and carers to support non-verbal communication and overall development.
* For teachers, deliver engaging lessons, monitor pupil progress, and contribute to a positive learning culture.
* Early Careers Teachers receive mentoring and guidance to develop professionally.


Qualifications

* Experience as SEN Teaching Assistant preferred; genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
* Ability to work with students with Autism, non-verbal communication, and SEMH profiles; caring and resilient approach.
* For Primary School Teacher and Early Careers Teacher roles, ability to deliver engaging lessons and support pupil progress; mentoring and professional development offered.
