As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of teachers. Your duties will include overseeing classes, ensuring a positive learning environment, and managing student behaviour. This role offers a great chance to gain valuable experience in education and make a real impact on the educational journey of the students.
Responsibilities as a cover supervisor:
* Take responsibility for supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring that learning objectives are met, and students remain engaged.
* Provide support to students in their learning by delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities as directed by teaching staff.
* Maintain discipline and manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all students.
* Assist with administrative duties such as registering attendance, distributing and collecting materials, and maintaining classroom resources.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day and the effective delivery of the curriculum.
Requirements as a cover supervisor:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
