Role Overview
As an Allocations Officer you will be responsible for allocating the Council's void properties as well as completing nominations to RSLs, in line with the Council's Allocations Policy, procedures and the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. As an Allocations Officer you will be required to manage the Council's register, carry out pre tenancy work, complete home visits and ensure nominations are completed appropriately. You must have the ability to work under pressure, use your own decision making and time management skills when allocating properties. You will be the single point of contact for applicants on the Council's housing register and responsible for communicating all aspects of the process to the service user and to process any concerns or enquiries. You will report directly to the Allocations Team Leader and be required to support the Team Leader in delivering the services / projects in line with key corporate strategies.
