We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work as a Clinical Lead in Early Years, in Ceredigion.
Responsibilities
* Line manage staff within the Early Years team, providing day‑to‑day support, supervision and service development.
* Maintain a highly specialist clinical caseload supporting children with complex needs and manage waiting times and triage new referrals.
* Identify opportunities for service development to meet population needs in line with national Flying Start guidelines and Talk with Me delivery plan.
* Provide second opinions, advice and supervision to junior colleagues.
* Use coaching and facilitative skills to enable the team to deliver high quality services and think outside traditional boundaries.
* Collaborate with commissioners and partners to produce reports and data for Flying Start and Families First workbooks.
* Respond to service pressures and prioritise activities according to local needs.
* Provide leadership and strategic oversight to ensure equitable and accessible support and timely intervention.
Qualifications & Experience
* Highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy qualification and experience in Early Years.
* Experience in line management and staff supervision within a clinical service.
* Knowledge of national guidelines such as Flying Start and Talk with Me.
* Strong communication and coaching abilities.
* Experience working in a large health board setting is an advantage.
Desirable
* Ability to speak Welsh (desirable).
* Experience within the Hywel Dda University Health Board or similar.
