Placement Officer – Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027 (Maternity Cover)
About the role
Shared Lives are seeking a professional candidate to support maternity leave as a Placement Officer. This is a fixed term contract for 9 months.
As a Shared Lives Placement Officer, you will have a case load of shared lives carers that you will support to ensure that the individuals who use the service are supported effectively and safely. The role will include the following: -
- Ensuring that shared lives carers are working according to CQC
- Carer recruitment
- Meet and greets between potential carers and a person we support
- Support planning
- Risk assessments
- Dealing with day-to-day tasks
- Liaising with professionals
- Undertake regular reviews
- Be responsive to emergencies
About the candidate
No two days are the same. This is a very exciting and autonomous role in a small team. You will be calm under pressure and maintain professional standards at all times. You will be able to multitask and take responsibility for planning your own diary and managing your own caseload. You will have a minimum of an NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care.
