Overview
Lead Clinician role based at Claystone School, Bedfordshire. The postholder will manage the in-house Clinical Team and split time between clinically leading the team and maintaining a therapy caseload. The service collaborates with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead to deliver bespoke assessments and interventions for pupils with complex profiles of need, including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and SEMH needs. The role supports EHCP plans and contributes to the development of the clinical school-based service.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Pro-rata, DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)

The role
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Claystone School, Bedfordshire. The postholder will work with the school’s Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role combines clinical leadership with a therapy caseload and involves delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students who may present with autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH needs. A primary focus is meeting the needs of EHCP plans in a target-led approach aligned with OFG all/group/individual clinical practices. The Lead Clinician will coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members and lead on service development of the school-based clinical service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

Essential Criteria
* BSc or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy or OT with HCPC and RCSLT registration
* Valid professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise clinical and research reporting
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to work dynamically within a growing clinical service
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred)
