We are recruiting for a Legal Project Manager to join our FutureLaw team. This is a full-time, permanent role with flexible location options: Bristol, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
Your Role
1. Work directly with lawyers and clients on matter plans, pricing, budgets, timelines, and documentation, ensuring clearly-defined scopes and assumptions.
2. Manage matters, projects, and portfolios to deliver work on time, within budget, and within scope, engaging with stakeholders including clients and partners.
3. Assist in proposals and bids where legal project management is essential.
4. Apply a consistent Legal Project Management (LPM) approach across all matters.
5. Collaborate with the Head of LPM and senior team to upskill staff and promote LPM capabilities inside and outside the firm.
6. This role requires a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days in the office and occasional travel.
Your Skills and Experience
1. Law degree or equivalent qualification.
2. Project Management qualification (preferably APM).
3. At least 3 years of experience in a project management role.
4. Experience with project management tools like MS Project.
5. Knowledge of legal project management methodologies and legal reporting.
6. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Creative problem-solving skills and ability to manage critical issues efficiently.
8. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret client needs into operational requirements.
9. Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
10. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
11. Experience with various legal projects, including litigation, transactions, procurement, and change management.
12. Experience working in legal or professional services sectors.
