This team designs, deliver and supports the core network infrastructure for over 100,000 Ministry of Justice users across over 1000 locations. In the coming year an increasing proportion of that network will be in-sourced presenting challenges and opportunities for the Team. The Junior Operations Manager roles will work alongside Associate Operations Managers and the wider Network Services Team. The roles are the initial point of contact into Network Operations, which is responsible for scheduling and co-ordinating activities critical to the delivery and support of effective digital networks providing services in Courts, Prisons, Probation Centres and Offices. As part of the role, you will be required to work 37 hours per week, including office attendance of 5 days a week in our Leeds location. The Network Operations services operational cover during working hours, 8am to 6pm is on a rotational basis (i.e. early shift of 8am 4pm, middle shift of 9am 5pm, late shift of 10am 6pm). Please note, out of hours and weekend cover may be required, for which an allowance compensation would be provided. Please note these roles are based in our Leeds office only. Support scheduling and co-ordinating of incident and onboarding activities. Provide an initial point of contact for the team, supporting the coordination of incident and handing them off to the most appropriate team for resolution. Assist the Associate and Operations Managers to maintain CMDB data integrity. Assist the Associate and Operations Managers with the creation and development of process documentation. Assist with the delivery of network operational objectives and maintain standards of quality. Schedule and co-ordinate activities ensuring that there are the resources and material to conduct the required activity and that the necessary support is available on site. Monitoring and managing incidents, enquiries and demands to conclusion using tools such as SolarWinds, MIST, Service Now and Jira, ensuring the correct procedures and processes are followed and documented. Support the effective management of assets and other material through asset tagging, maintenance of registers and the CMDB. Support the effective management of information through SharePoint and Confluence; this information will include cabinet and network diagrams, after action reports, run books and other documentation.
