NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.
About the Service
Midlothian Community Respiratory team treats COPD patients in the community, preventing admissions, treating acute exacerbations at home and optimising respiratory care in a holistic way. The team is multidisciplinary with support from Psychology and Dietetics. We accept referrals from GPs, hospital staff, SAS and community health care professionals. We continue to develop our service, including work with Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland to increase referrals and community support, and early development of a clinic‑based option alongside home visits.
