Overview
Design Manager (Water Industry) at Stantec. As we continue our growth across the UK & Ireland, we have opportunities for Design Managers to lead multiple AMP 8 water developments across the Midlands & South West. This role leads a strong multi-disciplinary Water team, delivering projects across feasibility, detailed design and build phases in the region. You will work with Project Managers to manage the technical team and take responsibility for delivery, efficiency and the quality of all technical output. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the UK water industry’s largest clients, delivering designs that shape how we obtain, treat, and distribute water for local communities, using innovative and sustainable methods. Responsibilities
* Lead a multidisciplinary Water design team to deliver diverse and challenging projects for a range of water clients.
* Collaborate with Project Managers to manage the technical team and ensure the delivery, efficiency and quality of all technical output.
* Work with some of the UK water industry’s largest clients, delivering designs that shape water acquisition, treatment, and distribution, using innovative and sustainable methods.
* Engage across feasibility, detailed design and build phases, contributing to the successful delivery of projects in AMP 8 frameworks.
About You
* Degree-educated Design Manager, ideally with experience delivering projects in the water industry.
* Skilled in leading multidisciplinary design teams to drive innovation and collaboration, ensuring successful project delivery.
* Passion for the water and environment sector, with a strong understanding of design and construction. Membership to a relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE) and experience in other regulatory sectors would be beneficial but is not essential.
