Supervisor - Production
With 150 years expertise, Shortridge Laundry provide a specialist laundry and tailored delivery service to customers within the tourism and hospitality business.
We are currently looking to recruit a Supervisor to join the busy Production Team at our Dumfries site. Monday to Friday - Shifts vary between 5am and 7.30am starts - flexibility is required.
This is a permanent position and full training will be provided on site.
Hours: Full Time - Flexible
Salary: £14.56 per hour
Main Duties
Duties
You are responsible for any duties required to fulfil the general role of Production Supervisor, which includes the following:
* Health and Safety - Ensuring all team members adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations and Policies
* Health and Safety - Ensuring staff are trained to the latest SSOW, assisting in training when necessary
* Ensuring quality standards are met
* Meeting Targets/KPIs
* Planning labour and work loads
* Develop & maintain positive working relationships with work colleagues, mentoring and guiding staff when required
* Communication with different departments to ensure orders are met
* Assisting in the control of rework, rewash, reclaim and rag
* Carrying out start / end of shift checks
* Computer Tasks
* Completion of paperwork
* Maintain a tidy work area - clean as you go policy
* Be involved in continuous improvement ideas and suggestions
Key Requirements
Full training will be provided. We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals, who are passionate about providing great service. You should have great communication and good leadership skills.
