We are recruiting two Scala Developers for a high-profile UK Government programme, supporting the delivery of scalable, secure digital services.
The Roles
* Role 1: £470 per day (Inside IR35)
* Role 2: £415 per day (Inside IR35)
Both roles are offered on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong chance of extension.
Location: Remote-first with travel to Newcastle once per sprint (approximately every 2 weeks).
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Scala
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following TDD principles
* Collaborate with product managers, testers, and other engineers in an agile environment
* Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions
* Support continuous improvement of development standards and practices
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong commercial experience with Scala
* Experience working on xxuwjjq UK Government or public sector projects
* Solid understanding and hands-on use of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
* Experience working in agile, sprint-based teams

* Pega experience or exposure
