An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate to join our friendly and supportive Residential Property team in Bath. Following another highly successful year, our Residential Property team has achieved over 30% revenue growth, and we are now expanding to build on this momentum. You will be joining a large, high performing team working on your own varied and interesting caseload. You will be supported by the wealth of experience that comes from working within the largest Residential Property team in the city. Whether you have an existing client or referrer base that generates work and opportunities for you or you at the beginning of your journey, we are keen to talk to you about how the role could be tailored to fit your aspirations. The size and complexity of your caseload will also be tailored to suit your level of experience taking into to account any specialist areas you wish to develop. The Team The Bath Residential Property Team consists of more than 20 people, many of the team have been with the firm for a considerable number of years, which genuinely speaks to the close, supportive and close knit culture within the department. In the office the Residential team sit with and work alongside our Agricultural team who provide support with rural property issues and there are opportunities for crossover to further develop your skills and knowledge. With a team of this size there is opportunities to share and receive knowledge, train or be trained and to support and be supported as you and your career develop. Typically, we work within sub teams, made up of a senior fee earner, junior fee earner/ paralegal(s) and assistants as well as the more traditional model of one to one fee earner and assistant supporting. The department is led by Beth Heley and forms a key part of a wider Residential Property Business Unit, which has residential property teams across all our offices, with a headcount of over 80 people. Key Responsibilities Manage your own caseload efficiently, handling various property transactions with confidence Utilise and be open to technology to give clients an end to end digital conveying service Collaborate in the team to deliver a high standard of legal advice in a commercially astute manner, maintaining a consistent level of excellent client service Manage and deal effectively with a variety of transactional projects / matters Take direct instructions from clients, building strong relationships and delivering expectations Prepare effectively and work closely with partners to achieve the most appropriate solutions for the client Scope and price work accurately with partner support and supervision Work closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop own client relationships Grow your profile as a respected Residential Property lawyer within the firm and industry Lead and contribute to business development initiatives within the team Build and nurture a network of clients, contacts, and referrers through targeted networking and relationship building Identify and act on opportunities to cross sell services within the firm Participate in team and sector pitches when required Maintain accurate time recording, work in progress monitoring, and billing Work towards individual and team KPIs, aligning with departmental and firmwide strategic goals Skills, Experience and Attributes Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx with relevant Residential Property experience Previous experience within a Residential Property team Strong client and project management skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent client service Well organised with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment Willingness and desire to undertake business development Comfortable working within a supportive team
