Offer description

Write a short description of your company, a boilerplate of the business, service or product that you offer. Include your business idea and the target audience. This text is primarily supposed to be descriptive, not selling.

Are you a numbers enthusiast with a knack for making complex equations feel like second nature?

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Maths Teacher to join a rapidly improving secondary school in Luton. This school is committed to raising aspirations and ensuring that every student, regardless of their starting point, develops the mathematical fluency needed for success in the modern world.

-----------------------------------

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be joining a department that prizes logic, problem-solving, and collaborative planning. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality numeracy and mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics for suitably qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

* Dynamic Instruction: Delivering lessons that bring algebra, geometry, and statistics to life through practical application and digital tools.

* Assessment for Learning: Using regular low-stakes testing and data tracking to identify gaps in knowledge and provide effective intervention.

* Maths Mastery: Implementing a mastery-led approach to ensure students build deep, long-term understanding of mathematical concepts.

* Classroom Environment: Creating a focused, high-expectation atmosphere where students feel confident taking risks with their learning.

Why Join This School?

* Supportive Induction: A bespoke program for ECTs or experienced teachers looking to refine their practice.

* Luton Connectivity: Excellent transport links to London and the Midlands, making it an ideal location for commuters.

* Collaborative Hub: Work in a school that encourages "open-door" teaching and shared resource banks to reduce individual planning time.

* Modern Resources: Access to the latest EdTech, including interactive whiteboards and specialized mathematics software.

About You

We are looking for a mathematician who is as passionate about pedagogy as they are about prime numbers.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in Mathematics or a related STEM subject.

* Has a proven ability to engage students of all abilities, from those requiring foundational support to high-attaining "Greater Depth" learners.

* Possesses excellent communication skills and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced urban school environment.

* Is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all young people.
