The role of Relief Support Worker is an inspirational position and key to achieving outcomes for vulnerable clients. Axholme House is a 32-bed Lifehouse for homeless males and females over the age of 25 with complex needs.
As a motivated and dynamic Relief Support Worker, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality support programme that promotes client choice and control. Your duties include addressing client needs such as finding suitable housing pathways, enabling positive life changes, and empowering individuals to lead more sustainable lifestyles. Many clients may also face challenges related to mental health, substance dependency, and debt.
You should be passionate about supporting individuals to make positive changes, confident working independently and as part of a team, and experienced in collaborating with various agencies including landlords. An understanding of the needs of homeless people is essential.
Requirements:
1. Good communication and IT skills
2. Experience in the homelessness sector or similar fields
3. Understanding of the benefit system
