Your new role
As a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer, you will take a leading role in delivering multiple medium–large scale building services projects, guiding project teams and acting as a key technical and client‑facing figure.You’ll oversee all aspects of electrical design delivery from concept through topletion, ensuring technical excellence,mercial awareness and seamless project coordination.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading electrical building services design across a variety of sectors
2. Producing detailed design calculations, drawings, reports, specifications and schedules
3. Carrying out site surveys and assessing existing installations
4. Ensuring designsply with relevant standards, regulations and health & safety requirements
5. Supporting construction stage duties and collaborating with wider design and construction teams
6. Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers
7. Contributing to fee proposals, bids and resource planning
8. Building strong client relationships and supporting directors in workload management
What you'll need to succeed
9. Degree‑educated in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
10. Chartered Engineer status (CEng), or actively working towards it
11. Proven experience managing and delivering building services projects from concept to handover
12. Strongmunication and client‑facing skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels
13. Ability to nurture existing client relationships and support business growth
14. Solidmercial understanding including cost control and project financials
15. Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
16. Strong awareness of sustainability, energy efficiency and emerging renewable technologies
17. Proficiency with relevant digital tools: AutoCAD, Revit, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, NBS, MS Office
18. Full UK driving licence
