We have an exciting opportunity to join our stunning Malmaison Brighton hotel as General Manager. We're looking for a leader who understands that running a successful business isn't just about exceeding brand standards or a strong P&L. We want someone who will look after the team and, by developing them, deliver the expectation of first-class service.
In this role you're a real organiser who loves leading and motivating your team. You will be driving the brand strategy in all elements of the business and set Malmaison apart from the competition as a preferred employer and destination to stay, eat and drink.
You will understand how to maximise revenue within the business by taking the bigger picture into account, managing the detail through your department managers. Leading from the front to set the example will be second nature to you.
Our Malmaison Brighton hotel is perched on the waterfront and offers 73 boutique bedrooms adorned with oversized, inviting beds, top-tier facilities, and unparalleled access to Brighton's effervescent pulse. With a conservatory that offers mesmerizing views of the sea, guests can soak in Brighton's beauty as they dine in the Bar & Grill. This is a popular location with a strong focus on food & beverage, so we are looking for someone with previous experience in managing a similarly sized hotel and operation.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate the hotel team to deliver first-class service in line with brand standards and a strong P&L focus.
* Drive brand strategy across all areas of the business and position Malmaison as a preferred employer and destination.
* Maximise revenue by taking a holistic view and directing departments to execute the business plan.
* Set a visible example and lead from the front to inspire performance and accountability.
* Manage operations to ensure high-quality guest experiences, particularly in food & beverage.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience managing a hotel of similar size with a strong background in F&B operations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
* Ability to drive revenue, manage complex operations, and implement strategic initiatives.
