Salary: £84 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming early year setting in Gateshead. Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework.
Work 1:1 or with small groups to encourage development in language, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for all children.
Observe and record progress, helping to plan next steps for learning.
Assist with personal care and follow routines, ensuring children feel secure and supported.
Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and independence throughout the day.
Job Requirements:
Experience working with young children in an early years or nursery setting.
A relevant qualification in Early Years (e.g., Level 2/3 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning) is highly desirable.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through GSL Education).
Positive references from university placements or previous school experience.
