Location: Liskeard Head Office / Hybrid Role Purpose: The purpose of the System Integration Developer role is to design, build, and maintain the integrations that connect the organisations systems and data. This role ensures that applications communicate effectively, data flows smoothly and securely between platforms, and the business has reliable, high‑quality information to support analytics, reporting, and decision‑making. Main Responsibilities: The Systems Integration Developer is accountable for the end-to-end integration of enterprise applications, translating business requirements into robust, scalable integration architectures. The Systems Integration Developer will be responsible for: Creating scalable, robust integration solutions that meet business requirements and support future growth for Wildanet. Reducing system fragmentation by replacing or improving inefficient, ad‑hoc, point‑to‑point integrations. Ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and accessible across the organisation by integrating systems into the enterprise data warehouse. Defining integration standards, patterns, and best practices so that all system connections follow a consistent architectural approach. Working closely with engineering, data, and business teams to design secure, reliable, API‑led integrations that support operational needs. Providing detailed data led analytics and reporting to enable strategic decisions Key Activities: While duties and responsibilities will vary, they typically include: Defining and documenting integration architecture patterns, standards, and principles to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with the target technology roadmap. Leading end-to-end solution design for integrations, from requirement analysis and technical design through to implementation oversight and post-delivery review. Establishing secure, resilient integration mechanisms (APIs, event-driven architecture, middleware, batch processing) ensuring appropriate authentication, encryption, and monitoring controls. Collaborating with engineering teams to design and review API contracts, data schemas, and interface specifications to maintain interoperability and data integrity. Working with data teams to ensure integrations support trusted data flows, clear system-of-record ownership, and high-quality, consumable datasets for analytics. Identifying and rationalising point-to-point integrations, reducing technical debt and system fragmentation through structured architectural improvements. Defining and monitoring integration performance metrics (latency, reliability, error rates), implementing observability and proactive issue management practices. Providing architectural governance and design assurance across projects, ensuring integration solutions are reusable, maintainable, and aligned to long-term platform strategy. Essential Person Specification Knowledge: PHP Python SQL TOGAF Azure DevOps DevSecOps API creation and management Technology time-to-value input Skills/Attributes: Analytical and problem-solving mindset Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build and document API infrastructure knowledgebase Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Strong focus on technical hygiene and version control Ability to deliver projects within an Agile delivery methodology Hold a solid interest in API development trends and emerging technologies Ability to ensure data security and limiting vulnerability exposure Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in system integration, middleware, system to system improvements Qualifications: General qualifications to include Maths, English and Computing. Batchelor’s degree in Data or Computer Science (desirable) Circumstances: Liskeard office with a hybrid model of a minimum of 3 days in the office.
