The Role:
So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Design Engineer:
* Design and develop advanced electrical schematics, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
* Analyse and optimise electrical systems for maximum performance, efficiency, and reliability.
* Define detailed system requirements to guide exceptional design outcomes.
* Produce and maintain precise documentation of schematics and electrical layouts.
* Select optimal cables and protective devices to guarantee safety and compliance.
* Advise on and review electrical component choices to support successful project delivery.
* Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to achieve high-quality results.
* Contribute to a wide range of engineering tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
* Actively participate in internal and external meetings, offering technical insight and expertise.
* Maintain organised, thorough documentation in line with local operating procedures.
What are we looking for in our next Electrical Design Engineer?
* HNC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Strong team player with collaborative work ethic.
* Proven experience specifying electrical components with a detail-oriented approach.
* Solid knowledge of relevant electrical standards.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Quick learner with adaptable engineering skills to address varied design challenges.
* Experience in schematic capture and drawing review.
* Knowledge of electronics to support innovation and problem-solving.
* Experience in electrical system design for complex, high-stakes projects.
* Proficiency with Zuken E3, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent design tools.
