One of our clients is hiring a Platform Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams supporting Grocery, Pharmacy, and Retail ventures. This role is critical to scaling high-impact, revenue-driving verticals and enhancing both partner and customer experiences across global markets.
This is a hybrid position based in London (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible).

Your Role
As Technology Manager, you will lead and develop a team of 6–9 engineers, driving delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to ensure technical execution aligns with strategic objectives.
This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, delivery ownership, and roadmap alignment.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Development
* Mentor, coach, and support career development of engineers
* Conduct performance reviews and maintain high engineering standards

Hiring & Talent Management
* Recruit, onboard, and retain engineering talent
* Build strong and sustainable engineering teams
Technical Delivery & Execution
* Oversee agile development processes and ensure timely project delivery
* Maintain alignment with architectural principles and engineering best practices
* Collaborate globally with cross-functional product and engineering teams
Roadmap & Strategic Alignment
* Co-own the technical roadmap alongside Product Managers
* Align engineering initiatives with broader business objectives
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders and senior leadership
Innovation & Technical Excellence
* Encourage adoption of modern technologies and engineering practices
* Influence software engineering decisions through expertise and collaboration
* Promote scalable backend or full-stack solutions (ideally .NET or similar technologies)
Your Profile
* Prior experience as a people manager leading engineering teams
* Strong understanding of SDLC and software delivery at scale
* Background as a hands-on backend, full-stack, or mobile engineer
* Experience influencing technical direction without relying solely on authority
* Strong business acumen and ability to align technical decisions with company strategy
* Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
* Comfortable challenging leadership constructively to deliver business value
