Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our team, responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen maintenance.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be part of a small but vibrant team providing catering services across the school. This includes staff lunches, board meetings, celebrations, private dining, weddings, and external events.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Food Preparation: Assist with preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the required standards and portion specifications
* Stock Control: Ensure food is recovered and stored correctly to minimize waste
* Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding working areas
* Machinery and Equipment: Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment
* Menu Development: Contribute to menu development as required
