JOB MISSION
The Mission of the Accounts Assistant is to perform accounting and administrative tasks in support of the Finance department, in line with the Company sustainable Values.
DUTIES AND KEY REPONSIBILITIES
The main area of responsibility will be Accounts Receivable, reconciliation of the E-commerce Activity and also assisting with Treasury Management.
Duties and tasks will include but not be limited to:
Processing customer receipts from all channels
Maintaining customer accounts and ensuring receipts and credit notes are fully matched to invoices
Maintain the e-commerce receivables including weekly reconciliations for the associated PSP (Paypal, Shopify and Klarna) accounts
Maintain the Direct Debit Wallet and Bank accounts and action queries arising.
Monthly maintenance of the bank accounts and PDQ receipts reconciliations
Assisting with any adhoc tasks in the Finance team in connection with monthly internal reporting as well as the annual statutory audit
Work in collaboration with the Customer Care team in resolving all Customer Queries including E-Comm
Assist with Accounts Payable tasks including supplier invoices posting and supplier payments posting when the need arises e.g. as part of holiday cover
Work in collaboration with all internal stake holders (Customer Care, Sales Team, Education)
Assist the financial controller with other ad hoc tasks as they arise including analysis of profit and loss accounts, maintaining control accounts
This role is based in our London Office situated in King's Cross and the candidate will report to the financial controller.
PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
2-4 years of accounting experience; can be equivalent combination of education and on the job experience. Educated to accounting technician level, or equivalent work experience;
Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment against specific deadlines and have attention to detail
Ability to work with others contributing actively toward a shared goal
Knowledge of accounting systems and procedures preferably SAGE ERP X3
Have excellent time management skills
Be proactive and can work independently
Good working knowledge of MS Office and in particular excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot tables)
