Vehicle Technician – Light Commercial Vehicles Needed in Bolton
1. Location: Bolton
2. Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Day Shifts Only (Overtime available at time and a half)
3. Salary: Up to £36,700 basic
4. OTE: Up to £43,000+
We’re recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading vehicle rental specialists, now looking for a skilled Motor Mechanic (LCV) to strengthen their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a large, modern workshop maintaining a substantial fleet of Light Commercial Vehicles, with excellent earning potential and genuine career development.
This role focuses heavily on Light Commercial Vehicles, offering great variety across a large fleet of vans and ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and ready for hire.
Key Responsibilities for a Motor Mechanic (LCV):
5. Carry out maintenance and repairs on a fleet of Light Commercial Vehicles
6. Diagnose faults and complete mechanical and electrical repairs
7. Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and legally compliant
8. Complete servicing in line with manufacturer and company standards
9. Work efficiently to maintain fleet availability and minimise downtime
What We’re Looking For in a Motor Mechanic (LCV):
10. Level 2 qualified Technician with at least 3 years’ experience, or fully qualified Level 3 Technician
11. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic
12. Experience working on Light Commercial Vehicles is highly desirable
13. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
14. Full UK driving licence
