Supporting SEN & Disabilities Integrated Service Teams
Are you interested in promoting the well-being of children and young people with special educational needs? Do you have a good telephone manner and an eye for detail? If so, this could be the job for you.
The SEN and Disabilities Integrated Service provides services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and manages the assessment of their needs. This post will involve supporting one of the teams within the service. Working with a team of EHC Co-ordinators, Educational Psychologists and specialist teachers, you will keep records of children and young people known to the team up to date, manage lists of pupils and keep diaries of appointments. You will prepare and send correspondence related to the statutory processes.
The service receives numerous telephone enquiries, and you will support the team by dealing with them. The job will also involve a range of general office functions.
You will need excellent MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills. You should have a positive approach to dealing with the public and be committed to equal opportunities and to customer service.
