At Suffolk County Council, collaboration is at the heart of what we do. As a Business Support Coordinator in the Operation Training Team, you’ll work with colleagues and partners to build trust, share ideas, and deliver services and training that make a significant lasting impact on the community.
Responsibilities
* As a key member of the Operational Training Team, you will provide specialist admin support as well as acting as first point of contact to internal and external customers when handling general enquiries.
* You will need to coordinate the admin work to support our fire training instructors, ensuring that information is correct and recorded effectively liaising with other agencies when required.
* Maintain and update database records with sensitive information and adhering to data protection guidance is essential.
* Provide administrative support to projects in the department
You will need
* A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and web-based systems
* To be comfortable learning and using new digital systems and applications
* Organisational skills to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
* To share knowledge and expertise to assist in the development and delivery of projects.
* A confident communicator who can:
o provide advice and guidance on a range of issues.
o represent their team internally and externally.
o build and use relationships effectively.
* To demonstrate a positive attitude, commitment and enthusiasm.
Team and Environment
* The Operational Training Team deliver acquisition and maintenance courses to all Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service employees year-round.
* We are a highly motivated and progressive team who are always looking for new ways to improve the way we work.
* The work we do has a direct impact on the ability of Fire and Rescue crews to respond to emergencies and effectively resolve incidents.
* We work at a recently built modern training centre which promotes an inclusive, collaborative environment with open office spaces and a large communal kitchen and break area.
* All members of staff have open access to a well provisioned on-site gym.

* Address: Wattisham Training Centre, Wattisham Airfield, Ipswich, Suffolk IP7 7RA and Onsite working
* Hours: 20 hours per week
* Contract: Permanent
* Salary: £28,598 per annum (pro rata)
