Access to Communication and Technology (ACT) is a specialist electronic assistive technology service based at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre, Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6JA. ACT provides Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Environmental Controls (EC) and computer access, as well as a mounting service.
Responsibilities
* Work within the ACT Technical Service team supporting the clinical team in delivering electronic assistive technology solutions to clients.
* Carry out daily duties under the direction of the Senior Technician, including annual maintenance and statutory electrical safety testing in domiciliary settings (patient homes).
* Manage stock support functions such as delivering and collecting equipment, reimaging devices and completing decontamination.
