A caring and inclusive primary school in Northamptonshire is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs starting as soon as possible.
This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or learning delays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
* Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
* Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for learning
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant TA or SEN qualifications are desirable
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
