We are looking for a Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Wintringham. As a Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager for Highways, you will be responsible for delivering Infrastructure Environmental Strategy and supporting our clients' sustainability ambitions across your portfolio of projects, with operational accountability primarily for the A428 and A47 projects. What you'll do:
* Provide operational leadership and support to the environment team across your portfolio of projects, with additional contributions to other projects and opportunities as needed.
* Support the creation and maintenance of relevant strategic relationships with National Highways and facilitate appropriate customer / stakeholder relationships across the sustainability team.
* Engage with regulators, including on critical strategic changes impacting planning requirements or contractual changes.
* Represents sustainability on the Projects' Leadership Teams, feed into senior leadership forums to communicate progress and escalate risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
* Lead with other key departments to ensure lessons learnt from your project are shared across the Operating Unit.
A deep commitment to driving sustainable building practices, with a track record of successfully implementing environmental strategies.
* Effective leadership skills with proven experience in mentoring and developing environmental professionals, contributing to team growth and organisational knowledge sharing.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to influence internal teams, clients, and external partners towards shared environmental goals.
* Ability to collaborate across multicultural and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, ownership and continuous improvement.
