Turner Lovell are recruiting for an established M&E contractor, operating across Europe on various HV energy infrastructure & data centre projects, on both the design and construction phases.
We're seeking a Lead Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of major power and renewable energy projects. This role involves overseeing technical aspects from design through to commissioning, with a strong focus on HV electrical systems. You'll work across multiple teams and disciplines, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical delivery across all project phases: design, construction, commissioning, and energisation.
* Prepare and review electrical design drawings, schematics, and documentation.
* Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and design consultants on technical and commercial matters.
* Manage procurement processes, including requisitions and purchase orders.
* Oversee quality control, inspections, and snagging.
* Support project scheduling, material take-offs, and tender documentation.
* Assist with commissioning and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
* 5+ years' experience in engineering design or project management for industrial installations.
* Strong understanding of HV/MV systems and resilience planning.
* Experience with energy management and automated control systems.
* Skilled in AutoCAD and MS Project; familiarity with electrical design standards.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results.
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
