Java Software Engineer (Associate/AVP) – Glasgow, UK
Key Details
* Experience: 2-5 years
* Mode of Work: Onsite 3-4 days per week (Hybrid option)
* Job Type: Full-time
* Schedule: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
* Develop and promote the company’s culture of engineering excellence.
* Define, develop and deliver solutions at a top tier investment bank or other esteemed client.
* Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience with Java/J2EE, DB technologies.
* Experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot.
* Experience with databases & Linux/Unix.
* Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and Microservices.
* Knowledge of database systems: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and optionally NoSQL (MongoDB).
* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies.
* Design and development skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Experience in a fast‑paced business environment with proven multitasking ability.
* Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
* Excellent oral and written communication with stakeholders.
* Team player mentality with disciplined attention to detail.
* Graduate‑level degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
