Cookery Tutor - Special School
Location: Silverstone, Towcester
Salary: £25,920 - £32,230 per annum (pro rata, based on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 3 days per week, between 8:15am and 4:45pm (specific hours to be agreed)

Our client, an independent special school in Silverstone, is seeking a dedicated and creative Cookery Tutor to deliver engaging and tailored cookery lessons to pupils aged 11-16. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in developing essential life skills while fostering confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
The school provides education for up to 40 pupils, with a strong focus on emotional and social development. Learning is delivered in small groups or individually and is underpinned by the therapeutic principles of THRIVE. The school offers excellent facilities and a progressive curriculum designed to support each pupil's personal and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging cookery lessons tailored to individual needs
Support pupils to make good progress and achieve positive outcomes
Use clear planning and assessment to embed key concepts in pupils' long-term memory
Set learning targets based on prior attainment and personal needs
Consider and address the special educational needs of each pupil in your teaching
Ideal Candidate:
Experience delivering cookery lessons to secondary-aged pupils
Recognised teaching qualification
A passion for working with students with SEN and emotional or behavioural difficulties
The ability to plan and deliver informative, interesting, and inspiring lessons
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (as transporting pupils may be required)
